Business Verification
The goal of business verification is to ensure trust in Skigit and its businesses. A verification logo will appear on verified business profiles, signifying that the Skigit team has confirmed the account creator represents the business they claim to represent.
Only verified businesses can use Skigit. By following the instructions below, you help protect users and Skigit from fraudulent registration and misrepresentation.
To start the business verification process...
User Email
Enter the user's business email address. This email must be the domain for the business you represent (e.g., user@yourbusiness.com).
Company Name
Enter the business name as it appears on your legal documentation. This should match exactly with your official business registration documents.
Contact Email
Enter the business email address. This can be the same as the User Email. This email will be displayed as the company contact email on your business profile.
EIN (Employer Identification Number)
Enter your business EIN as it appears on your business documents. The EIN is a unique nine-digit number assigned by the IRS for identification purposes.
Business Documents
Upload a minimum of 2 documents for verification:
A. Government ID
Select a government ID from the list and upload a photo. If you do not have a photo ID, you may submit two official documents instead.
B. Official Business Documentation
Upload official documentation of your business's legal name. Examples include:
- Business license
- Articles of incorporation
- Business tax registration
United States
The following documents are acceptable for business verification:
- Articles of incorporation
- Business bank statement
- Business license
- Employer identification number (EIN)
- IRS SS-4 (EIN Assignment Letter)
- IRS 147c (EIN Confirmation Letter)
- Taxpayer identification number
Note: Currently, only the United States is supported for business verification.
Business Domain
Verify your domain by entering your business website homepage URL. The URL must start with "https://" (e.g., https://www.yourbusiness.com).
Get a Verification Code and Certification
After you complete the registration, Skigit will initiate the verification process using your profile information and the documents you provided.
During the verification process, you will only be able to access your profile page. Once your business is verified, you will receive a confirmation email, and a verification certification logo will appear in your account profile.
Please be patient during the verification process. You can check your profile page for the approval logo.
